![]() Tableside presentations include blaring boomboxes, four-foot-tall busts of Marie Antoinette, and ribs that come out on a lawn mower-all of which are heavy, awkward, and shakily hauled by servers. Verdict: Look, we respect a restaurant that commits to a bit, but when that bit gets to a point that you’re worried for the actual well-being of the waitstaff, it’s time to reconsider. That sentence alone should tell you all you need to know about the place, but it’s also worth noting that Barton G is “famous” for their over-the-top tableside presentations that come with every dish. What It Is: Barton G is a ridiculously expensive restaurant on La Cienega (seriously, entrees start at $42) that was gifted to us by America’s other clubstaurant capital, Miami. The food isn’t great, but it’s not so bad that it distracts from the pandemonium, which is why you’re here anyway. Servers will dance on tables to ABBA and Cher hits, and you’ll eat overpriced sushi rolls and random finger food like wagyu-stuffed gyoza that kind of taste like Big Macs. You’ll see Vegas-style showgirls, aerial acts, and other performers coming down from the ceiling belting out Adele. It’s complete chaos from the moment you walk in, and yet the place makes you feel like you're at the center of a party. Verdict: A night here is like hanging out on the set of The Voice, if The Voice were filmed inside a spaceship rocketing towards unknown galaxies. There isn’t a theme to MainRo, per se, unless you count over-the-top, unmitigated fun as a theme-which you should. I highly recommend booking a party through Birthday Bottle Service and I will heed my own advice and use them again. What It Is: Replacing the old Beso space on Hollywood Blvd., MainRo opened in August 2022, making it not just the newest clubstaurant on this guide, but one of the newest places to dance and get weird in the city. ![]() My table was waiting for me when we got there and I really did get 2 bottles of booze for the price of one bottle of booze (+ $50 tip for the free bottle) My husband got to celebrate and spoil all his friends and we looked like ballers, so it was a win-win-win. ![]() They set up my party at the Gansevoort and reconfirmed the day of. I emailed them and quickly got a response from Abe & Cristina. Nothing in NYC is free, ESPECIALLY alcohol. Thanks to to my mastery of the google machine I typed in "NYC birthday" and Birthday Bottle Service popped right up! I clicked on their website and was immediately awestruck- FREE BOTTLES- what?!? This can't be true. We don't go to many clubs these days so I didn't know where we should go and I really didn't want to pay for 10 other people to get drunk. I expected him to say he wanted to go for a nice dinner but instead he busted out "I wanna get a table somewhere and pay for all my friends to drink." Well shit! (only kidding!) I made the mistake of asking my husband what he wanted to do for his birthday. I'm excited to try different venues with the help of their amazing party planning!! I will definitely contact Christina and Abe again for another event. 4 bottles came out right away and our waitress was great and helpful when we requested different mixers. In fact they moved a party, cleaned up the tables, so they could accommodate us all with 2 adjoining tables within minutes. Luckily we did not need to use it! We arrived in the VIP line and was seated right away. ![]() ![]() Christina and Abe confirmed our party the day of and even provided us with a Customer Service number - God forbid anything went wrong the night of the party. Both had the buy 1 + get 1 free bottle special. As the guest list grew, we asked Christina for 2 tables next to each other at the Gansevoort. I was able to choose my venue from an extensive list. I contacted them and Christina responded within minutes. I simply Googled "birthdays in NYC" and Birthday Bottle Service came right up. Birthday Bottle Service was a success! I wanted to plan a special birthday celebration for my boyfriend. ![]()
